i have a question regarding the application. there is a set of questions they ask and if 'you' answer yes to any of them you are supposed to attach documentation explaining your answer. well one of the questions regards any alcohol related offenses. im guilty on that one(1994... young and dumb)... so what exactly are they looking for when they say 'explain my answer'???? any help is appreciated... thanks bryan!

Boy they must be really strict, course that is a mormon state but I would not think that would hurt your chances just be honest and accurate. Swampy

Im not sure if I would get a CWP right now...Obama's brown shirts are gonna hit the people with CWP's first!
I was wondering the same thing...different question though. Not to hi-jack the thread but I took the class and went to send in the paper work and I too have a 'yes' for one of the questions. If anyone is an expert in Utah concealed carry law, please let us know.

To answer your question. you should not have any CONVICTIONS involving violence, alcohol ,drugs, crime of violence or felonies. If you did have something in your teenage years just explain it. and explain what your were ordered to do buy the court (showing that you were a good boy and did what you were told).
In the month of jan. they processed over 7,000 permits and they received over 22,000 applications. Basically if your honest and pass the FBI background check your good to go!!
And yes it takes 60 days to process.
