Anybody Haul a sled in a toyhauler?

I have a weekend Warrior and was wondering if anybody hauls sleds in one. I am concerned with protecting the inside from melting snow. Any tips or Tricks?

I was kickin around the same idea, will the sled even fit in there?

I was thinking they wouldn't be long enough

I suppose the water issue would be something that needed adressed beforehand, perhaps some sort of mat or durable flooring to serve as a barrier with raised edges or a lip and a center drain installed?

Ski guides could protect the flooring, long as water didn't make it forward into your living areas.

We've hauled our in our toyhauler. Tips & Tricks....

1) Use steerable dollies on the skis at the foot of the ramp.
2) Remove as much snow with a broom before loading.
3) Place a rubber-backed carpet under each track.
4) Remove sleds immediately upon return and clean up any water.
5) To protect the cabinets from melting snow, I always place a row of towels at the front of the loaded sleds to aborb any melting water that may drain towards the front of the trailer. Then when the sleds are unloaded I use the same towels for a quick mop job to the floor. Between the towels and the rugs, you should have it covered. We also pack in tubs, so I actally pack the tubs next to the cabinets and have the towels between the tubs and the sleds. One more layer of protection.
6) Open the doors and turn on all vents when running the sleds in and out of the trailer to control exhaust.

We have to load one sled in backwards to get them to fit, but both sleds have reverse so it's not an issue.

Good luck!

EDIT: Oh, we have a 26' Gear Box.

My wife and i have been throwing this around all year. I have measured them and they will fit. but the water issue worried me.Its good to hear somebody that has figured it out. I will have to look into it farther. :D

Raptor toyhaulers have a rubber mat in the cargo area with sides on it. It has a diamond pattern on it, kind of like diamond plate. I have been wondering if something like that would be enough to contain the water. Also a lot of the bigger haulers have gone to a wide body, so they are almost 8' inside, that would allow to sleds in there side by side no problem.

Raptor!

I have the 3814 Raptor. It has plenty of room for 2 sleds with the 14' garage. It is like sled169 said. A wide body and the floor is sealed well and a few inches lower than the living area. We love it even tho it's for sale. It can be seen in swap meet under trailer/transport!

We owned a Gear Box 335FS and it had close to 20' of space for sleds. We did get 4 in there by doing one in backwards and then two more (one forwards and one backwards) with one more at a 45 angle in the rear. It was a tight fit but worked. We used ski skins by SLP to protect the floor from the skis, I think? When the snow melted, we would uses towels to clean up the excess water, if it even melted. Most times the snow from the tracks would not even melt during the day traveling back home.
