Anybody get to try out there Riot 3.

Don`t know if any have shipped yet....doesn't seem like it in BC at least. Does anyone actually have one in their hands stateside? We have landed some ARO 3`s, but no Riot`s so far.

There were quite a few Riot 3 Pro's shipped this week, all black ones from what I've seen. Mine shipped on Wednesday.

I spent some time on one last season and had a chance to compare against an aro 3 velocity and my Riot LE with a 129 on it. One day I was mostly on the Riot 3 Pro, while everyone was eating lunch I hopped on the ARO 3 velocity to compare. I took off up a short but steep climb expecting the Aro 3 to go right up with without any issues. To my surprise I had to turn a bit and reduce the angle. I hopped back on the Riot 3 and went straight up without issue - ski never touched the snow. I was surprised to say the least. It was explained to me that the Riot moves along better because it's not "pushing" the ski through the snow as much as the ARO is.

Next day I had my Riot 129 along. The lack of traction was frustrating! The Riot 129 goes pretty good and gets around well but lacks the forward drive and pull that you get with the Riot 3. The traction of the 3" also brings back the playfulness that was lost when I put a 129 on the Riot LE. I think people are going to be really happy, especially those that went with the pro package.

All bikes were either a husky FC450 for KTM 450sxf - so a pretty good benchmark for comparing the performance of the different kits.

Video is from the 2nd day that I mentioned.

I had a chance to ride a riot 3 (it may have been the 's' version) last season back to back with an aro 3, riot 129 and aro 120. I really did not like either of the riots, the front end still has a ton of pressure on it unless you're on the gas. And when you're on the gas the ski leaves the snow and the longer track wanted to keep pushing the bike in a straight line much more than a 120. I didn't care for the aro 3 very much either but would rather have one than the riot.
