As stated in the title any word yet? I have called a few times but get the same old speech. Kinda getting tired of it... maybe should have gone with a turbo set up... Any info would be great!!

they are having issues getting the pipe to fit in the pro and still produce the power increase. although i believe they have a working model. testing now. Hopefully it works. patience young grasshopper... :face-icon-small-win enjoy

I don't think SLP should have advertised the gains w/o a production pipe. A little premature in my opinion. I was excited to go with the SLP setup, but it will be a good $1000. That's pipe/can and a PCV with shipping. I'm gonna wait this one out and see what happens.

I agree with Matt... they are taking the time to fine tune and not push it out before they have everything refined.

I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

How will the pipe affect the warranty? Which on a first year sled is pretty important unless ya have deep pockets.

Warranty goes goodbye on a mod sled and Polaris is not fooling around with that anymore.

Would they even know if you put the stock pipe back on and removed the PC? I don't think of that as heavily modded by any means.

Have FUN!

If you have a good dealer that understands what SLP is doing you shouldnt have too hard of a time getting your warranty. Some dealers are sticklers though. Know your dealer if you plan on modding your sled

worth the dollars?

I see right now they are advertising an 11 horsepower gain. In my opinion not worth the money. I am holding very little stock in horsepower claims by anyone. Here is an example. I ride with two guys who have very well set-up Arctic Cat 800's. These are supposed to be what? 165 Horsepower? I have seen numbers for the Pro ranging from 142 to 154. I can unequivocally say my Pro will go anywhere and do anything the cat will do, and then some. I would spend half the cash and work on making your clutching more efficient and add some vents. Not to mention Polaris's new policy regarding aftermarket pipes and silencers. I wouldn't sacrifice one bit of my warranty for 10 horsepower.

Even if you think your dealer doesn't care about a SLP pipe, and you need warranty, still best to put it ALL back to stock before taking it in. When my 08 D8 needed a mtr (imagine that?) the dealer was asked by the warranty company to send in pics of everything, including the pipe. They happened to have a stock one nearby, since mine had full SLP. Even adding a intake kit makes me nervous about warranty coverage these days.

These babies are so impressive stock it's kind of interesting that WE (i'm just as bad or worse than you guys) would consider tinkering with em!

Do some of you guys considering the tuner feel like you have some left on the table? Anybody putting sniffers or egt's on the PRO to know for sure. I've just run mine so I don't know. We got some more fun with clutching and track stuff. Can't really state or conclude that it needs a tune up. Kind of rips especially since poor old "CARLOS" only puts out 143 hp...tee heee heeee

i hear the warranty thing but... more power is always better. but as others have said or $1000 and with how well the pro runs out of the box don't know if it is worth it. once slp has a pipe out i know someone who will have one, so i will be able to decide after riding it to see if it is worth it or not. what i really want is two. keep one stock, and then mod the hell out of the other one. big bore with a turbo......... hmmmm, yummmmmy!

I just use mine for the pretty colors on the LCD. Don't have a reason to tune anything except for some cold engine surgy stuff. I do see some things at high pipe temps that helps me understand why it's been so quiet on the pipe/PC V scene this season...

That's just it...HP from the dyno is usually at the crank. But efficiency is a whole other story. You can have 200 HP but if you are not getting that to the snow, then it hardly matters (just as you said with clutching). I think the Pro does an amazing job of transferring that power. Two reasons, one the lightweight and two the excellent transfer of the rear skid.

If Doo ever got their clutching right out of the box, the eTec would probably destroy everyone.

I'd like to do EGT's for a couple reasons. #1 - you always have something to let you know a burn down is coming before it is too late (hopefully). It's insurance. This oil bubble and oil link kink thing that some people are seeing scares me enough for EGT's. I also want it to help with fuel tuning. We are all spoiled to have Jim at DynoTechResearch to provide maps that work and don't burn down our sleds. But as soon as I start to do my own mapping, I need a way to make sure I don't burn down my sled as a result.

IMO, every SLP pipe i have ran has been a waste of time. I won't be upgrading my sled wiht anything SLP anymore. But hey, thats just me. I am just going ot run FASTRAX clutching, maybe a high comp head, and some suspension/graphis mods.
