Any tips for swapping heads?

I bought a PAR head and looking for some pointers that might help during install.

After you pull the hose off the thermostat housing, place the hose in something to catch coolant, and blow air into the housing to drain coolant. Don't forget about the o-rings that go around the sparkplug holes, like I did. Good luck!

I did the same thing! It sucks when you start putting coolant back in and it starts coming out around the spark plug holes.
 
When you get everything back together, make sure you fire the motor up and check for leaks BEFORE you plan on taking it somewhere to ride it. Also, it isn't unusual for a few drops of coolant to get into the cylinders when you pull of the factory head, so that is another reason to get it fired back up and thoroughly warmed up after you swap the head.
 
make sure when u put the rubber gaskets back on that they dont get rolled over at all...
