Any thoughts on the new Browning X-Bolts?

I'm in the market for a new rifle.. I've been pondering an A-Bolt but I just found these today.

Has anybody handled or shot these things? The spec list looks impressive... especially the new trigger. From my experience Browning's have been the best box stock guns I've tried. I guess i'm just a little worried about being a test dummy. (Glad it's not called the Browning XP-Bolt:face-icon-small-ton)

I called the local gun shop here and he said the order has been put in, but they won't see any till May/June and I can expect to pay around $840 for a Medallion in .300WSM.

I also like the idea of a Rem 700 in .300 Ultra-Mag with the three stage loads... but I don't like the fact that you cant buy one with a DM.

Get it in the 7WSM if you can.

I dont deal alot with brownings, just there shotguns, and thats about it. Other than that, im pretty useless to ya other than caliber type :)

I had never heard of these until you brought this up. I love my A-bolt II and doubt you could go wrong with the x-bolt, even if its new. If your not set on getting a new model, you should be able to get an A-bolt pretty cheap as there trying to get the new guns in.

I would gladly own a x-bolt, my old BLR lightning in 7mm is by far one of the best rifles I have ever owned. My dad has had his Remington 700 BDL for 30 years, though, and even feeding very hot loaded 8mm rem. mag rounds has yet to have an issue!
