What do you make of Sublime with Rome?

Is that keeping Sublime's music alive...or an insult to Brad Nowell?

Rome seems pretty good and has it figured out.....

This tune has been on the radio a lot lately....
Seems pretty cool. I didn't know WHO was singing it until I did a little research.
BTW, I think Rome MAKES this song. It'd be weak without him.

I love me some Sublime, but it's not Sublime without Nowell.

No, that's true. Brad was the best...but have you heard Rome?
At least their tunes CAN live on a little bit through him.

He does sound really good. Sublime isn't the only band that I think of this way, though. Alice in Chains isn't the same with Layne Staley, and Van Halen just sucked during the Hagar years.

The only band that made it through a lead singer change without a drastic decline in the quality of music is AC/DC, IMO. And even they're different, not better or worse than with Bon Scott, just different.

Yeah I hear ya. A band just has a certain sound and without that sound...it's not that band.

Didn't Van Halen threaten to put Gary Cherone (from Extreme) up front also? That would NOT have been a Van Halen at all.

It'd be like when Journey put someone else in there...it just wasn't the same. Now they have some Phillipino who sounds JUST like Steve Perry. Weird.

Check out Long Beach Dub Allstars.....it's Subline without Nowell that came out a few years ago. Good but not the same without Nowell.
I LOVE Alice in Chains but this new one they got out I just can't get into.

I liked VanHagar.
