Does anybody have know if there is enough snow to ride safely there? Looking for a place to ride this upcoming weekend in the Southwest corner of WY looks like the Uinta's are going to be our best bet unless I am wrong?
Rode Smith Fork on Monday.....it was great....deep snow plenty of coverage up high.....probably not going to be great powder conditions by this weekend though. Top layer by the end of the day was really getting heavy and the avy conditions are bad!!!!! Saw multiple natural avalanches that had come down and a few that were triggered. Top 14 inches were heavy heavy snow and then 2 feet of sugar underneath.
I don't think we were near the Hams Fork. We came from Montpelier over the pass towards Smoot and Afton and not to far after the summit is the parking lot. Here is a SPOT link for you to see where we were riding.
We decided to not go... just too much money to spend to get 4 sleds licensed, fueled, trailer tags, and truck filled... I mean realistically we'd spend close to $150 filling everything, another $150 in food and licensing... Idk $300 is a lot of money for just one go round..
