Any riding around Lake Wenatchee?

I'm not knocking the area or the family friendly riding. I'm just commenting on the high idiot factor that i have seen there. There is definatly alot of effort put into keeping the trails in top shape. Hats off to those involved. I do my family rides in another area becase it is more convienent for me.

Lots of idiots, no snowfall, and groomers moved to Winthrop. Trails are covered with cross-country skiers; Sugarloaf is now considered wilderness and no longer open to snowmobiles. I actually think that Adrenaline's photo is photo-shopped of Blewett pass! Boondocking is impossible due to poor crystallization of the ice-like snow. Any sled over a pre-indy 440 Polaris, ski-do 600 ho, or a M8 are a waste of time because of the farm field terrain with a lot of private, fenced land. If you do go stick to the trials because there are sled-eating rats, and spontaneously combusting snow that causes bottomless pits of despair!

Hope this info helps,

Just joking!
It is a great place to ride, the Groomers are very dedicated, do get a lot done, and often ask for trail condition reports and requests of areas to be groomed. There are some 35-55 going on 19 that do get a little wild on the trails and around the cabins, but inform everyone in your group to stay to the right and pull off at good locations to let faster riders by. There is a recently cleared area, near Fish Lake that is great for families that don’t want to take kids a long way on the trails (close to the ski-only trails so watch for signs). Great exploring riding, only real draw back is, some of the best riding is a full tank away so you need to pack fuel and watch your gauge. Boondocking and climbing are where you find them, just no volcanoes!

Are you about to push that other rider down the hill???

Ok, it's real early and I might be falling for a joke here because I'm not quite awake yet but when did Sugar Loaf become wilderness??
I hope this is a joke or you are wrong...I love that area :confused:

(I wish I had Photoshop and actually knew how to use it!)

Didn't you read Obama's wilderness plan, Sugarloaf would become wilderness as soon as he takes office..........;):beer;

Yea, watch out I’m really protective of my riding areas!:mad: I was pointing out the boundary of where his Ski Do would be able to make it!!:D

Adrenaline you talked earlier about the Ardenvoir side. Yeah you can run from the Lake Wen to Ardenvoir and back through the Mad River trail..... goat trail. Lots of sidehill and real technical in spots from what i've heard. I know this last year was pretty awesome back there. All that country is great. Oh wait I mean ...... all the riding over here sucks .... best riding is west of Cle Elum :D

Future grooming?

If there is an opportunity to show an increased # of users over there we might be able to lobby for some additional funding to expand the grooming to the Ardenvior side? I plan on doing some exploration into that area this winter. Some might not want more people in there secret spots, but last year (given it was an amazing year) i had at least 10 rides of first and more of few tracks in even the popular locations; especially after the busy season.

I typically ride out of the Mad River area.(Up Entiat River) Out over sugarloaf and then out Mad River Rd. We will play in the Miners ridge area along the way. If we do not go that way we head out into the Tyee Ridge area. Tons of area that not many people get into. Fresh powder in the trees, and we see maybe 2 to 6 other riders.
Higs

Trails are great. If you like trails.

The part I don't like is that you have to burn 3/4 tank of gas to get to sugarloaf where the first real off trail riding is.

My wife loves it.
