Any plumbers on here?

What state do you live in, how many years and/or hours of experience and what do you get paid an hr.(if you don't mind posting). Just curious what wages are like in the lower 48's.

I live in Alaska and am a plumbing apprentice with 6,900 hours and have both my city and state gas fitter cards. I'll have my plumber journeymen card in the next 6 months and right now I feel disgustingly underpaid for how much I know. I work for a very reputable company and do high end housing, both plumbing and heating (hydronic, forced air, radiant, ect.)

I work in a friggin skilled trade and know pizza delivery drivers that average more money an hour, WTF is up with that? No wonder there is a huge labor shortage. Why would you want a skilled job when drive around in car or waitress and get paid more.

I am not but a good friend is and he has one guy and pays him $24 but another guy we know makes $34 at a bigger place.

Start is $24 to $36 in our area

Go into pipe fitting and make close, if not more than 100 a year.

In Montana you can expect 25-35 per hour...good luck getting 40 hrs/week right now though...this is an employers market...don't ***** right now cause there's 10 guys waiting for your job.
