Any pictures of snow conditions in the snowies

I was just wondering about what kind of snow there is still left for riding thinking about coming out for a spring ride just want to see if it is worth the drive. If anybody could post some pictures of what it might be like would be great.

It is really worth the trip. Sleep in, eat a good breakfeast, let the sun soften it up a little and have a great ride. I thinks it's best to get on the hill around 10:00 am. We rode on 4-19 and they have had more snow since then. I am planning on getting back up there the end of next week. If you make the trip, you will not be dissapointed.

They had gotten about 18-24" of new snow. It started settling out and packing down by noon or so. It was VERY wet snow.

I agree with OCDsledder. Relax a little in the morning and come up around 10. It will be like riding in mashed patatoes. It is supposed to snow thrusday, but don't know how much yet. There is more snow up there right now that was up there all of last year. We were water skipping in north french creek last year this time. The snow was unreal saturday.

10 am?? Geez, we were up there by 8am or so on Sat and Sun, wasn't hard at all, a little sticky mid-afternoon, not bad though. If you're riding hardpack, you'd better get off the trail.
There's plenty of snow up there, over the hood fresh snow all day Sat.
Bluebird skies and lots of snow Sunday, it was hard to leave.

thanks for all of the pictures and updates, I am trying to get some guys from here in minnesota to head out on thursday and ride through sunday, it seems not many think that it would be worth it but me, I would like to do some more riding yet, I had some problems my first trip out there so I would like to fine tune my ride a little bit.

I've never been to the Snowies but like exploring new areas. Do those pictures do them justice or are they really that flat.

The video and pictures are great. I had to work at a derailment all night the 24th. While it was snowing in the mountains we were getting soaked around Ogallala NE. I get to go home on the 30th, just in time to maybe enjoy some of that soft fresh snow that we might get Thursday and Friday.
