Any one straighten a bent shock b4

I did it in a pinch for a weekend. The shock snapped eventually, taking out some plastics at the same time. I wouldn't do it, especially as a planned "repair". I had some old Fox shocks rebuilt, new rods were like $30 each, not bad at all, especially if were to do it yourself.

Have had pretty good luck straightening 12mm/1/2" shafts in a hydraulic press using aluminum blocks and an aluminum pusher....IF the shaft is bent less than 30 degrees and the chrome isn't dinged.

I have done it with a fairly good bend. Like stated chrome can NOT be damaged. I pressed it out and it worked for a LONG time. Sold sled with those shocks still going.
