any one have the same problem?

i can deal with stupid all day long( im still in high school ) so i have to put up with it every day.

what i cant deal with are ignorant egotistical hypocritical imbeciles. ( ill explain my point )

today i was really sick and threw up 8 times at work in a 10.5 hour shift. today after work we had a meeting and some customer accused me of sitting down on the job. so i got my *** chewed for that.

so i was sitting there yesterday talking with a friend that i haven't seen in 4-5 months so i bs'd him for 2-3 minutes before i had to go lock up to end the shift and i get told that if i ever do it again im gone.

today jessie my super. was bs'ing the boise-cascade guy for 15 minutes i watched it on my ipod.

tomorrow im thinking of putting in my 10 day or ask for a raise or somthing...
59.5 hours a week at 6 bucks an hour after taxes really isnt cutting it any ideas?

I assume it's a summer job.
So look at it this way....There's a light at the end of the tunnel.
Suck it up, & be a model employee, you can NEVER go wrong with that attitude.

Many of us on here could tell you tales of
Stacking bales up to the barn rafters in 100 degree heat
Picking rocks (by hand) for days on end

You get the picture, I'm sure.

its not the hard work that is getting me its people... ive went out and got 10 cord of wood and bucked it in one day then split it stacked it another and got another 5 the same day i split the other... its not that but i see where your going with that

+1 for summer job.... start counting the days. And if you hate it that much, look for another job next summer.

When it comes to employment nowdays you have to document everything. If your boss or coworker is doing the same thing that you got in trouble for, document it. This way if they fire you, you have some recourse. It's a pretty pathetic world we live in now days...no loyalty and backstabbers everywhere. You need to do steps to CYA.

Ah yes, farming without tractors the joys, 5 hours of sleep zero hours of fun 7 days a week for $3.00 an hour. I will stop there. If you are sick say I'm going home cause I'm sick if they don't believe you barf on them. People are worthless as workers when sick anyways. He was right to say you shouldn't be bs'ing on store hours. As far as your super goes ignore it, you worry about yourself working hard they can do what they want.

Or my favorite summer job. Running jackhammer or even better yet, the three legged tamper - sun up to sun down in 100 degree heat. No OSHA back then either. $1.75 per hour.

Stick with it. It will build character and you never know when you may run into these folks again!

I'm guessing there is some 'tude problems now, maybe your not the kind of guy to show poor attitude but you've been pizzed off enough now that your at the don't give a chit point

problem you have now is if you quit, burn the bridge or tell em to pound sand they'll tell everyone you ain't worth a chit should you be needing another job..

"yes sir" and a smile is what you need, don't worry about your bosses BS'n with peeps you ain't them and you don't have that right. You're the cheap labor, the dude with no history, no reputation and no skillz.

Best thing you can do is get some solid refrences as a hard working honest with a good attitude. Then you can build off that and move yourself up the career ladder.

There is prolly a thousand chit heads with bad attitudes for every 1 honest hard worker with a good attitude. Your bosses have prolly been thru 999 of them before they got you, gonna be hard to prove your that 1 good guy.

$3/hour how the heck did you rate..i was lucky to see $20 a week.....lol..now as an adult i just do it ...funny how life is...

i say suck it up and stick it out....jobs with lots of hours ,means your making money, wait til u have bills of a 30 yr old, then you will look back at now and say "man, those were the times"

Don't screw yourself on this one man... Your boss is your boss. You live in a very small town. If you are a jerk to your boss, word spreads like wildfire and you'll have a harder time finding another job. Burning bridges is a last resort. Remember every job you have now will affect your jobs in the future. O and tell Kyriss that Woodzy says hello.

You could pull a Rodney Carrington on your boss-

"Im sick I wont be into work today"

"well how sick are ya...you sure you cant come in?"

"well Im f***ing my sister, is that sick enough for ya?"

"oh damn you are sick, dont ever come back!"

No really the guys here are right, youre young in a small town, suck it up and get a different job next summer.

suck it up and stick it out. It's almost August...besides some money is better then no money.

I see a tough road ahead for you. In the first place, who are you to be worring about what your boss is doing? He has someone to answer to and you answer to him. it is your job to do the work that is on your plate and not to be worrying about the next guys plate especially your boss. No wonder he has a hard on for you with that attitude.

Secondly, were you on break when you decided to waste fifteen minutes to record your boss? What in the hell are you doing with your silly ipod at work anyway? Play with your toys on your own time.

You remind me of a co-worker of mine when I was much younger, He would spend his time calling the radio station trying to win tickets to a concert and leave me hanging while I was at the parts counter trying to fill cusomer orders and cashier. He did not have a job much longer just like yours will be unless you lose the attitude and start paying attention to the work at hand.

No way! Tell your boss where to put it, why, and how to get it there. You gotta like what your doing or you life sucks. If you spend that much time at work and hate it, your gonna have a negative attitude outside of work too. What is your job anyways? High school summer job, f it. Enjoy the rest of your summer. Go work at a fast food place with some friends

So lets get a couple facts straight..........

- You were sick at work and admittedly was off throwing up and a costomer saw you probably recovering after throwing up and told your boss,

- You admittedly were talking with a freind and not working,

- Your supervisor was talking with a someone,

Dont mean to be harsh, but there are some valuable life lessons to learn here.....

1. The customer is always right. He was probably waiting for his order, and if he saw you slacking then he has a point. The company you work for needs him, he doesnt need your company, he can go anywhere. If you were sick, then stay home. If you cant take sick days off, well thems the breaks of being a temporary high school summer hire.

2. If I saw one of my temp employees conversing with a friend while on the clock instead of not locking up, possibly holding up other people from leaving, I would tell you that is not acceptable either.

3. I am assuming the "Boise - Cascade" guy is a fellow worker / supplier / client sort of guy? Not the same as BS'ing with a friend. That is irrelevant though since he is your supervisor, he can do things you cant, thats life as low man on the totem pole.

I really dont mean to come down on you bro, but we all have been there and learned from it. When you are a high school kid working a summer temp job you are essentially there for one reason and one reason only. They want to see @ssholes and elbows out of you with no excuses as to why you cant do something. You are low man on the seniority list, schit flows down hill, and you are easily replacable. Sorry bro but it doesnt get muich better as you get older either, you will always have personality conflicts at work, feel like others get preferential treatment, feel underpaid for how much work you do, and think that your boss doesnt know his @ss from a hole in the ground. Keep you head up, nose to the grindstone, and do a good job for those guys so you can use them as a reference for a better job later.

Suck it up you got 6 weeks left, make the cash while you can, It will be over soon enough. The prob is your attitude with it. With work pointing the finger is a one way street. The guys on top can do it, guys on the bottom can't its something you gotta learn now cause unless you work for your self your going to have to deal with it for the rest of your life. If your sick don't go in, 1 your work will suck, people will be pissed because of it. 2 You get other people sick. If you are in a small town don't quit word spreads quick about people being lazy or leaving some one high and dry and that sorta rep sticks around. Its time to man up and do work.
