Does anyone know if there is true medical staff on scene ? How cold was it last night ?

Well good to see you are ok but lots of us sledders getting hurt and it is not good for us in the long run.
Avalances and showing off to your buddies are common!

Is this what you were quoting Curt?

i heard of this last night, and a group of guys headed up last night with sleeping bags and food etc and were going up there to build a big fire. to bad he couldn't have been air lifted yesterday when it was clear, now that today its snowing.

cant imagine what it'd be like, hope this guy makes it out ok.

Talked to friends that stayed up there last night to help out. They said they got in four hours before we talked at 7am BC. Few others came up to help this morning as chopper could not fly last night. I am sure Rene will post tonight after some sleep, and let everyone know what went down

Hopefully this story has a happy ending.

One of the guys I ride with blew his knee out last week on boulder, that was adventure enough getting him down on a groomed trail. I cant imagine spending the night in the cold with broken leg(s) and back.
Be handy to keep a small generator and a small fired heater in the trailer for emergency nights like that.

Eagle pass overnight

Guys he is out by chopper this morning and it was jumping and broke his back.
19 hours but he was in good care as they had him warm and lots of meds.
Hope is that he can walk again

Our prayers for him and his family. The body is a marvelous piece of machinery and can mend many tragic events. Speaking from experience, his will to progress and his families desire to assist will mean everything. If I can get an address I would send a note.
