Any info on the Sled trailer fire on I90 on stateline Idaho/Wa?

Yep furnace was on and vents were closed, clearly open in that picture though haha. Rough luck, makes you think twice about leaving the heaters on in these things. Clearly they are meant to leave running with 6 hour thermostats in them....

Also it was reported, but not confirmed that there were flames coming from the trailer brakes prior to the owner ever pulling over, so could have been a break issue?

this is the second one that I know of
both had heaters on
I you watch the film clip of burandt giving a tour of his trailer he comments on leaving the heat ON so your sleds thaw on the way home.

looks like a design flaw or something major going wrong
I know id be shutting off the furnace until this is figured out

I would not think the forced air furnace Burandt uses (like in a camper) would be so bad but the convection type heaters that are free standing or wall mounted could be a problem.

I have seen too many motor homes in flame along the highway compared to their share of the total vehicles on the road. Those snowmobile trailers being towed down the road with furnace running is crazy. Turn the propane off at the tank!

Anyone have an idea what brand that was? Trails West bumper pull trailers have the door on the drivers side center like that one appears. I haven't seen many other trailers with the doors in that location.

Someone posted a link to another trailer fire that happened a couple of weeks ago. From the very little bit that was left, it looked like it could have been a Trails West also. I think it may have happened in Canada, not sure.

Question is, does anyone besides the owner(s) of sled trailer fires know for sure if the furnace was running or not while they were pulling the trailers down the road? (I'm not on facebook so I could not look at the comments if any from the picture stating any information.)
Can anyone explain to me what the difference is between running the furnace when the trailer is parked vs running while pulling, if using a forced air furnace?
I don't know the answers to these questions thus why I'm asking. Here lots of people running their furnaces in their trailers while traveling.

when we had an enclosed trailer I installed an electric heater in it... got home plugged it in... Used the propane heater when in the mountains..
