Any help for 800 skidoo would be awesome

Hello Cyber snomobiling pals,

I would like to tune up my 07 ski-doo adrenline 800. I was hoping for any suggestions to make my machine run better. I got my but kicked last year on a heavy snow day and didn't care for the feeling much! At any rate, I have been dinking around with my sled and found that my plugs were extremely fouled. I put new ones in and leaned out the oil feed slightly (I talked to a skidoo mechanic and he told me how much I could lean out the sled safely). At any rate, this should hopefully help with my plugs - I was also using twice as much oil as everyone else I was riding with and have talked to other 07 owners that were complaining about this - Is this normal?

I also had a SLP can on the machine but heard that a dyno test proved that an actual loss in power was measured using the can I had. Is there truth to this and if so what is the best can on the market for the sled? I put back on the factory exhaust while I figure this out.

Any other suggestions on tuning or add ons to improve power and performance would be greatly appreciated. I don't think I am realizing the true potential of my 07 and want to get there.

Thanks much!

One more thing I forgot to ask about... I had the clutch modifcations from skidoo done but wonder if there is a better clutch available on the aftermarket. If anyone has had good luck with a performance clutch, I would luv to hear about it. Thanks again

There are lots of things you could do, but the 1st thing I would do is call Big John or PM here. He knows his stuff.

As for a can most run the HPS, I have the straightline which seems to work just fine.

My dealer also adjusted my oil feed as it was using a ton of oil like you mentioned. It still uses quite a bit compared to others but nowhere near as much as it did the first couple rides.

Big John has a performance shop called sled head racing... sledheadracing.net
He knows his Ski-Doos, and there are many people around North America running his set-ups.

The straightline can is pretty quiet as well, the HPS, from what I have heard is much louder and saves a few more pounds but is pretty expensive compared to the rest.

The 07 actually puts out more HP than any other year when modded[4 hp more}BJ will give you the low down and has Dyno reports. The Aaen pipe /can wakes it up
as well as a head
