any harm in running premium plug during breakin

any harm in running the premium plug during break in on the pros? i use premium non ethanol fuel, probably a dumb question but a lot of people on here know more than me

That's how I broke mine in. 550 miles now and still running great. Always with 91 non-ethanol.

Depends on your fuel. The ethanol plug makes the engine run richer. During break-in, the motor is also running richer. If you have non-eth fuel, you are good to go either way. If your fuel is oxygenated, then I would stick to the ethanol plug to keep it rich. I run my non-ethanol plug with ethanol fuel at high elevations where the sled is running rich anyway. No detenation yet.

Last weekend I also ran the non-ethanol plug with 5% ethanol 91 octane. sled ran great and no detonation, this was at elevations from 8.5k to 12k. Bug were you at the ears last Sat? I thought I saw your sled by the parking lot across from the meadow. If it was you that freezing rain drizzle really sucked.

on my dragon, I have had it plugged in from day one. I am also pretty sure I have been running ethanol fuel since I am in WA. I haven't had any problems and have 1400 miles. I just ride it hard and don't hold it in one spot, especially in the mid range
