Any harm in overfilling?

Should I be concerned by over filling the chain case. I would say I am about a 1/4" over the full mark on the dipstick. Can't see any problem with it since it is not a pressurized system. 2005 MXZ 800.

Not an issue to overfill by that much. They usually take about 8 ounces but alot of people just put in the whole 12 ounce bottle.

Not sure if the sled has a ported chain case? I am running a 2005 800 MXZ.

I was amazed at how little the 800 took, way less then a bottle, yet my brides 600 2003 MXZ took nearly a whole bottle.
