Any 2010 spy pics yet?

Haven't heard a release date, but the M-series should look pretty much the same. Expect a bump in hp though.

have you heard from someone that their not changing the m series chassis. its been out for what 5 years? I would think its time for a new design. time will tell!

Have you been informed of the state of our economy?
Maybe!! it takes design teams a few years to come up with a new design ideas and prototypes. not like our enconomy which has taken a sh!!T in the last 18 months. thanks for the info rooster740.

IMO its the best mtn. sled on the market today. I wouldn't change a thing as far as design/chassis. I don't think they will either. Maybe some HP gains, BNG, even less production. There is still alot of 07's and 08's that you'll be seeing on floors next year. Times is tough, it'll be interesting to see.

I know that I am not nearly the expert of yall, but I did not think an obvious injection to a ramble session was that harmful. So now that the nasties have started flying, I will pretend you are in first grade, and it is your lesson time. The current manufactured sleds are not selling! What is going to lead you to believe that any manufacturing company is going to invest a substantial amount of potential income to retool their plant? I realize this will bring new ideas to the market, and I realize the R&D does not happen over night. Yet my guess is, our flopped economy, aided by a nation of people buying bigger and better then they can afford, will deter Arctic Cat from going wild, in the look what we brung to the table in 2009. It is now a game of survival. In a period of epic layoffs, it is your turn to lay the facts on the table, as to how any sled company will pull it off. We…. Ha ha I say that like I am some cool Arctic Cat guru like you are, already have the fastest most powerful sled on snow and the current M1000 is awesome in stock form and almost untouchable in any of it’s vast selections of improved forms. Let the monkeys fly boys.

Rooster, you gotta undertand, we're not talking to a bunch of economics majors here, we're just dum sledddrez!!!!

BTW, I couldn't agree more. I don't want a mtn sled based on the new race chassis, they can lose weight other ways & gain power while keping a sled that maintains the ability to run the parts they already have (or by what everyone keeps saying, they don't have!) and is still the most balanced mtn chassis out there.

What surpises me is the lack of threads on what aftermarket part's are going on these new M's to make them better. Either they are just that good in stock form or no one can afford parts. Everything that I have dumped money into my M7 on to make it better is now stock on the 09's. Haven't heard hardly any complaining about the chassis itself and all the folks I've talked with who have the 09's say the things work well. I wouldn't expect to see any changes except maybe under the hood or BNG's?

I still like a better stock seat - even the Boss that comes spring order ain't that good. Honestly, besides the seat - the 2009s are tough to beat. the track option would be nice though - stiffer or softer, you make the call!

Ye,but we can always make it better.
I would have kept the driver position and ski to driveshaft psition.
redone the front cooler to put the engine 2 inches backwards, maked a more rigid/torsen stiff chassi, and made a better geometry on the front ski suspension.

You might part with your money easy when things are good but when things are tight, don't you think the manufacturers have to make these sleds irresistable?

This is just my opinion but I believe irresistible would be an in-house 0% loan and the consumer gets to pick the term length. A few under the hood tweaks and some gaudy flame hood decals or such. A choice of track, shocks, and the basic arrangement of goodies to give salesmen something to dazzle those who need dazzled.
Oh one more thing I am an idiot who always parts with my money easily, the problem is I am married to CPA.

survival mode

I'm betting there are more brainstorimg sessions going on in Thief River Falls involving a sound survival plan than meetings discussing upcoming new model introductions.

1st order of bussiness should be how to save some dealerships because we can't all drive to upstate Minnesota to pickup a sled.

Very likely one or more of the 4 major sled mfg's won't survive this economic downturn ( ok....major crisis ) ,.........look at which company has been living on the government tit?? It will be the first to go.

Ski Doo has been the Canadian gov't "bail-out" king for years.

Poo and AC joining forces makes perfect sense since they were both originally started by the same guy and are geographically - both mfg footprint and corporate headquarters wise - right next door.

Prius...err...Toyota faithful will keep Yamahaha alive. Why, I don't know but whatever.

Speaking of a AC/Poo merger - Image taking the best of a M and a RMK and making one new sled. Ok, it'd pretty much be a M but had you thinking there for a moment! :D
