How they comparing to the 154" ? I realize you'll give up some boondack-ability, but overall, would you go to the 154" next time around, or stay where you are at??
G.

We found they are geared too high, made to be a Renegade more than a mtn sled. Performance wise, it's lost ground to the 154 compared to years past 144's vs. 151's.

my 146

I ride mostly in the flats so no need for 153, besides i already ripped an entire lug off, dont want to emagine what could have happened to that single ply track. was pulling a 70 mph wheelie out of an approach on a freshly groomed trail that made a quick left into a quick right to avoid giant plow chuncks. had to continue on throttle, figured it would be less damage.

I ride a 146" because everything is too long. A 146X16 wide puts a bigger print in the snow than a 155X15 and you get alot more track speed. Besides try and jump any of those long mother fuucckkeerrss. I put mine down to a 19 45 and can tell a big differene.

same for me, and added primary weight and slightly softer primary spring. along with the 288 belt, now this sled is an animal! no more dust, cool clutches (with NO venting), wheelies almost as good as a shortie...lol. can't wait to sail this thing off some kick azz cornices

G! What ya thinkin ? Upgrading ??

Jo's 146 runs mine into the dirt, same mods, and even if I ride her 146 against her on my 154 (75lbs difference) I smoke her!

This 146 is the fastest sled I have ever ridden (Turbs & Superchargers not included). It is SCARY fast, boondocks great, but yes cant stay with the 154 in the deep, Close but no cigar in really deep, but I could be tempted to a 146 ........................

She's down geared to 22/45, HPS can, added .7 gms pin weight, swapped to a 160/290 spring, ceramic coated pipe, stripped all the BS off, set the suspension and PIN ER!!! Pulls wheelies in the low country so hard, it drags the bumper!
