With aftermarket skids with custom rails I find it difficult to find a spot to mount bogey wheels and scratchers. On the timbersled website there is mention of running an anti-stab kit for bogey wheels. Has anyone had done this and did it work?
The antistabs I have seen and installed are probably not strong enough for anything but the rail tips. The segmented shafts bend quite easy.
I have seen some smaller brackets that use the smaller wheels, I dont recall where....probably Wahl Bros.
I'm thinking of trying this out, an anti-stab from CE Concepts that I never used. The shaft is one piece milled down on the ends so the idlers will go on and then a sleeve over that portion.
What ya all think, yay, nay, ?????????
A pic of the track clearance from the hifax with it installed.
I was thinking of using the 2012/2014 PRO RMK front shock idler wheels and get a local shop to to machine a shaft similar to the CE Concepts shaft above.

I wouldn't run an anti stab as a bogey wheel replacement, as winter brew stated they aren't strong enough. Even on the rail tips they should be mounted just off the track, if carrying track pressure they can fail and have the rails go through the track, defeating their intended purpose, they were never designed to carry the full load of the track by themselves. The limiter strap should be just tight enough to hold them slightly off the track.
The EZ Ryde skids run just what you are talking about. They run a shaft just like the one above and each has two rubber wheels. They are actually the exact same wheels that come on the Wahl Anti Stab. I have never really heard of anyone complaining about them in a EZ Ryde. This will be my first year with the suspension so I can not speak from experience.
