Another "where is the snow?" thread

Looking to do some riding tomorrow even if it is road riding. Anybody find any snow? Vail Pass have enough for road riding?

Looks like he's from Colorado Springs. http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl Continue through Crested Butte about 1.5 miles, turn left on County Rd 811 (Washington Gulch Rd). Park at trailhead. Please check out the closure sign at the trailhead and respect those closures. Enjoy.

Get a room in CB, stay the night, and ride again Sunday. Be careful above treeline. Its wind blown/loaded.

Had hoped to find riding closer than 4 hours to me but thanks for the suggestion

Drove over VP today. Saw a ton of sledders and a ton of tracks going through willows. The snow looked awful thin. I could see grass and rocks poking out. If I were you, I'd just be patient and wait. No use toasting a sled or busting parts before the good stuff comes.

We rode out of Albany today (Snowies). Enough snow to road ride and that was about it. We checked out our cabin, took care of two trees that had blown down across the driveway and called it a day.

If you want to go up and break in a sled, or do some testing - it is good conditions. If you are wanting to go off trail - bring a trailer full of a-arms etc.....

Ok road ridding around Turquoise Lake Leadville. Lite snow Sat am. Rode for 2hrs but stayed on the road as it looked Stumpy off Road. Freemont looked like it's filling in but still had a ways to go.

We ended up going to Vail Pass, and the snow was about what the pictures above at albany were. Not bad for a road ride with a few meadows just enough snow to ride.

Looking to try cottonwood (or Hancock) this weekend, anybody been up there in the last few days?
