Another silly question

Hey guys so i ended up bending my rails on my 12 assault 155 by the frt track shock linkage, it folded the lh side in a little bit. I could potentially bend it back and add bracing but i found a descent deal on powdercoated black pro rmk rails with a rmk series 5.1 track. Is there anything to be concerned about for the swap? would anyone change the drivers and do you think the rails will fit with out modd? Thanks very much guys Clayton!

Ha not really made for racing or jumping, they dont gusset the frt worth a **** hence why it bent in the first place. Thanks for the replys guys! Ill try purchasing those black pro rails and track and do a swap, Btw im going to get 2 more of those braces and add one in between both the suspension linkages and then one underneath or near the frt linkage on the arms. It looks like a weak spot.

There actually is more difference than bracing on these two suspension rails. The profile of the two rails are different.

On the Assault, the rails are tipped up more in the front creating a steeper approach angle. With the Assault rails you have the option to mount your rear suspension (front mounting) in the upper or lower position.

With RMK rails you don not have this option, they MUST be mounted in the upper hole, otherwise it will cause more friction and Hyfax wear at the front section of the rail.

With that said, you can swap them out but remember if you put RMK rails on, you have to mount the suspension in the upper hole.

If your into jumping, have you looked at the Ice age, "bomber" rails?

well heres my options, Just bend back my rails and brace them, or get a pair of powdercoated black pro rmk rails for 250 and find a track.

Fatdogs right. If you buy RMK rails you have to drill out and mount the front skid bolts in the upper location. That's what I'd do... But you're gonna lose ski lift, which is something you were lookin for in a different thread... Why do you need a new track? Did you trash the other one when you bent your rails?
