Looks great. How often do you feel that you will need to change spark plugs, reeds and pistons/rings on this build? At 12 pounds of boost how does it run compared to the turbo 4 strokes?

I have not had to change any plugs or reeds at all! I do use iridium plugs

Generally I change pistons every 1500-2000 kms. on turbo sleds

At 12 lbs it pulls really hard! I don't ride with any boosted 4 strokes ?

All in our group of riders are boosted 2 strokes. :face-icon-small-hap

That's good to hear. How many miles do you have on your build so far? Was the fuel map right on the money or did it require quite a bit of tuning? Thanks

nice kit, whose vents are those ? thanks

I built the the vents ! Plasma cut out of aluminium and glue in pre filter material...

Approximately 1250 km on the sled now .. Fuel box was dead on, no adjustment so far except blue/ green for boost

when you are talking av gas it is my understanding that av gas is not a high octane fuel but has a high lead content. most airplane engines are low compression.

Oh Gawd, here we go again! LMAO

I ran 8 days straight on 100% Av at 7-10K feet at 12-13 lbs, only triggering the det sensor a couple of times from hitting the rev limiter... I wouldn't be scared to run it at 14. The actual Motor Octane Rating of 100LL is 104 Octane, in contrast the actual Motor Octane Rating of 110 Race fuel is about 106. I've run 100% avgas on my Apex at 18lbs with low comp pistons for over 4 yrs and it runs flawless. Avgas isn't some kind of black magic potion, it's not a "dry" fuel, and the little bit of lead that is in it actually HELPS lubricate your motor.

Great looking sled! How do you like your TS skid conversion? I'm running a full KMod right now and other than the rear shock being valved slightly too light I'm SUPER impressed. It holds the skis down nicely on just the medium setting and just packs it up the hill.

The Silber turbo kit has been flawless. I put on over 300 miles the last trip and rode with two other Silber kits without one single issue! All three sleds ran the exact same numbers on the box. The charge box stays cool even on warmer (32 plus degree) days and after several long hard pulls at the hill. And this was at 12 lbs of boost! I couldn't be happier with Justin's kit, his service and how my build turned out. I had more fun riding this last week than the previous 4 yrs combined!

Side note... how much would you charge me to build me up and send me a set of those dash panel vents?? :face-icon-small-hap

The TS skid works great ! The Camo extreme works alot better than the stock track as well !

I went with the Cat Powerclaw on mine because I like how light they are. It was a tough decision between the claw and the extreme for sure...

The 162 PC track I put on mine weighed 53-54 lbs on a cheap bathroom scale... in contrast the 155 Polaris comp track (everyone knows it's a heavy track) weighed in at just over 60 lbs. So I stretched it out to a 162 and still lost 6+ lbs. LOL I have never weighed the 162 2.5" Extreme but TracksUSA claims they weigh in at 62 lbs fully clipped. I have the extreme track on my Apex, wouldn't even consider a different track for that sled... unless it was a 3" extreme. They didn't have the single ply extreme out when I built my Pro... but that would be a good one too IMHO.
