Another Polaris Towed Out...

No other brands for me. I love my Pro. Its the best sled I've ridden. I am getting the Indy Dan fix on my 11 and I have 3 more years of Polaris warrant on the my 12. You just need two Pros so when one brakes you have another. For my wife she's on the Dragon. She not happy, She loves the Pro to.

It is real depressing around here. Guess Im gonna hafta buy a Yamaha.

Best way to tow a sled out bumper to bumper. Remove the belt and use it to tow sled out. Tow sled tracks perfact to the front sled put the driver of the sled being towed on another sled. Seen it done a bunch of time. using a long tow strap will never work in the pow as you can see. just what i have seen work well.

We have had to tow out a nytro that punched a track, we always found best way is use two sleds but on like a pulley. We slip it through the dead sleds bumper and hook each end to a different sled this way you have true pulling power from both and if one starts trenching you have another pulling plus it keeps a nice constant tension on it

Put the skis on backwords and lift the back of the sled on the back of the pull sled (well maybe not on a pro tunnel unless its reinforced!!!) Worked greaf on a blow diamond drive sled with a locked track.

If you blow a drive shaft your 4 bolts from takinf the track off and slide railing all the way back they pull like a dog sled using that method!!

Man, I feel your pain, Ryan. It's really sad to see the days of the Dragon coming back. WTF????

I had a **** day also. Drove all the way to Rifle with ****ty roads alot of the way to pick up my tralier that I've been waiting for for 8 weeks, to see that it doesn't have the 4 windows I ordered, or the graphics my cousin ordered for me. Then I get it home to see a tire blown.

If Polaris says it's 4-6 weeks out to fix this I will drive to MN myself and beat the shi* out of someone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sled specifics:

2012 Pro 800
600 miles
Oil pump not messed with
ALWAYS added oil to gasoline in tank to help lubricate
Bone stock
At 300 miles the clutch snapped in half
At 600 miles the mag side piston has siezed...still waiting for dealer to tear it down and see what exactly the root cause was

This weekend I will ride the 2013 and hope to GOD that the driveshaft doesn't go...and lead to another difficult drag out.

Oh, and I swear if I can throw around the 2013 XM that we'll have with us this weekend like I can the Pro then I will have a 2012 Pro with a fresh engine for sale in no time.

What do you want for your 2012 as is?

Why don't you take the 2013 to your dealer and have them check the driveshaft before you take it out? They have specific protocal that will give you some peace of mind anyway.

Sam

Best dealer in the west (hint: they reside in Grand Lake, CO) just called and will be tearing the sled down tonight...

Will let ya know what they find out as the cause.

Hope to be back up an running in a week or so:)

you need to put a snobunje in the line.

ever shallow water started on a slalom water ski? You need that slack so the tow sled gets going. You can leave slack in the tow rope but then you get that big jerk where a bunje takes the jerk out of it for a smoother pull out.

The "snowbunjie" approach was tried with failure as well...the hill we are attempting to go up is alot steeper than the go pro makes it seem...nothing was going to tow this sled out other than a groomer or something like that.

8 guys got it out though:)

This reminds me of that Honda commercial I have seen on TV.
