I don't mean to be insensitive, but is it really that hard to stay away from avy prone hills when the danger is so high? I'll keep the family in my prayers.

Hope its not Jacob and the Boondockers crew! They were headed up near there.:face-icon-small-sad

I just spoke to DG, the boondockers crew are safe and sound.

For the record, KSL radio reported a second one and said "Southeast of Alta & Brighton" I said Dry fork, because that us one of the few places you can ride Southeast of those resorts.

Not Jacob, we didn't end up meeting up with dan and phatty. but we did see the other slide. right down a drainage. looked pretty big.

We saw one south east of the cat track between snake creek run and great western behind brighton.

I just saw that on the news; Not good! Hopefully everything turns out okay.

There were a couple fresh slides up Fairview today too. Careful on the North and NorthEast facing slope!

KSL now is saying the second slide was "Northeast of Snowbird"

They have not confirmed any deaths, hopefully because there aren't any.

just talked to my friend. He said it was the hill right by the church he called it the "ski run" He told me names but I couldnt hear well and I dont know if he was telling me victoms or survivors. But I do know these guys know grandview like the back of their hand!! Very sad!

I just got back from Dry Fork. We were the only ones in there except the Heli Skiers and no slides. I hope everyone is ok though. Amazingly for how many slides there are everywhere Dry Fork has been increadibly stable. I have not climbed the big hills because they look way scarry but stuff that I thought would have come down has not and there are ski lines on a lot of it. I still decided to stay way safe and play around on the low angle stuff.

A guy on KSL comment board said he died, he was immediately ripped by some that said the guy is their uncle and that he is alive. Hopefully this is the case and he will make a full recovery.

We were up Gaurdsman today and things looked good but we knew we could not trust what we were seeing.

We watched some skiers and boarders come down some good shoots and did not see any slides.

There were quite a few guys on good sleds going in around 2:00 when we were leaving.

We made the first tracks back into the bowls since the storm, we had a great time and I sure hope none of the guys that went in after us tried much more than we did.

I am praying for the best as we wait to hear the results of the slides today.
