SO news this morning is that Harley Davidson is in trouble.

Let's look at how HD's issues parallel those of the auto manufacturers:

Less New buyers.

Brisk used bike business

Over production

A plethora of Japanese bikes that have raided the Vtwin sector

Financing dead beats sub primers with low or no interest loans. Those dead beats aren't making their payments and the financing arm of the company is bleeding red ink.

Cool, I might be able to get a HD dealership cheap, soon then.

Makes me want to stock up a couple trailers full of accessories and hit for Sturgis. Work hard for a week and take the rest of the year off.

Wonder if I could get $3 for a bottle of water during the ralley. Maybe a little food coloring in it and a HD sticker on the side...
