Another great MLK weekend in SUN VALLEY!

Took our annual MLK weekend trip to Sun Valley. Great friends and great riding. The sawtooth mountains really are AMAZING riding. The technical climbs and tree'd faces are awesome!
Really wish I had a helmet cam on this trip but the few times I got out my HTC phone to snap some pics will have to do!!
RK TEK engine is running REALLY good right now. :face-icon-small-hap

They have a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory there that has one of my most favorite desserts. Chocolate dipped cheescake! Yum!

Looks killer Jed. That area sure is beautiful. We did a weekend at a condo up there last Feb and we had a blast. Sun Valley mtn is Huge! We snoboarded, no sledding.
They were having a "sunspash music fest" thing and we saw the Wailers. Awesome.

It is a beautiful place. My buddies cabin where we stay is up warm springs road right across from that side of the resort. Up Galena pass there is some killer snowmobiling.

I love riding Baker Creek.
I know exactly where you were in this pic.

This was a couple of springs ago. Turbotater, SledIdaho, myself and a non-sledder buddy from Ketchum (who really wishes he was a sledder but won't sell his damn XC skis)

Try this one across the highwaythe year before...Boulder City. (Day 1 was over at Fairfield)
Sunridge, Turbotater and a bunch of other guys were in there that day also.
FREAKING one of the funnest days I've had in a long time.

Would love to get a spring ride together up there for sure.

I think we were the group ahead of you, I recognize some of our tracks in the picture of Spin the Bottle. Hope you were able to make tracks in Apollo, we needed to get out so we did not do any riding in there, looked sweet, all untracked when we were there. We were the ones in the truck with the party lights on top, I think we talked with you guys last year.

Yeah we rode friday and saturday, friday we rode up norton to the apollo split. Headed up the gulch to the pass to drop into apollo and the clouds moved in and visibility was poor. With avy danger being high we stayed out. There were no tracks beyond ours. We were the first up since new snow.
Some could have gone saturday, we headed to the lake saturday and tore the crap out of it. Wished I had some video of that cause we got some good climbing in around the lake.

We heard you guys then by the lake on Saturday, we started the loop from the lake. When we were climbing into broadie, we could hear some sleds tearing it up by the lake. We went out Apollo so did not make it to the Norton divide. We'll be back out there this saturday, a little bit of work, a little bit of play.
