Well, decided to go up to gold creek and pay around. Did a nice big loop of the main areas, met a bunch of different peeps, got stuck, jumped, and had a blast. There are some freshies out there.. Base is still low but dang if I didn't have a good time regardless.

Pics to come soon, just a heads up for peeps thinking about riding Sunday. I would especially if I didn't today.

Lushbomb and I headed out and found some snow.

We were up there Friday and it was bluebird conditions. Found quite a bit of powder in the bowls to play in, a little thin overall, but some wind blown spots of deepish powder. My wife's confidence was up 200% from last year, and we were just having a blast...

...until my wife's sled ended up upside down wedged in a deep tree well. :(

Fortunately she wasn't injured at all, I was so glad to see her standing there when I saw the bottom of the sled. Unfortunately, I left the camera down at the parking lot, because it would have made a great picture.

So anyway it took us about an hour and a half to get it dug out and flipped back over. We were seeing other riders all over the place previously, but that hour and half went by with out even the sound of another sled (of course on our way back down we passed 5 riders on their way up).

Once we got it righted it started without too much trouble, just had to crank it some to get fuel back in the float bowls. At that point we were pretty wet and worn out so riding was done for the day.

found a couple more pics... who doesn't like pics right?

addition to the story..

So lushbomb drops my sled and I off at my place in Fall City. It is kind of late, and I rent, so we pull it off to try and be quiet like. He takes off and after I clean some things up, I get my tether and go over to the sled to drive it into the garage.

I plug my tether in, turn the key, and WTF? Where is my key?? I never take the thing out, NEVER. I check my pockets, did I? Why would I?? Nope I don't remember taking the key out. So whatever, I am tired, sore, and hungry, so I grab my spare and drive the sled on in.

I kind of like having a spare, for situations just like this.

So Saturday fades into memory and I get a call Sunday afternoon. It is lushbomb. He asks if I lost my key and I say "DUDE, that is awesome man, where did you find it?"

He found it on the trailer when he was unloading his sled. He lives 30 miles away from me! I don't know how or why it stayed on there, but it did regardless.

Nice! Gotta love that. Good little key.

yeah, the key!!

it was sitting smack dab in the middle of the left sled spot.. i don't drive slow and that trailer don't ride exactly like a cadillac either.. i am amazed it was still sitting on there..

spare keys are awesome!

I know MC always looks at things as half empty, but this post is BS.

We rode for 4 hours. And my sled did not go down. The bolt inside the clutch came loose and I didn't bring tools to fix. :o Yeah, idiot me.

The wind was blowing hard and it was snowing pretty good on top so we were trying to make the best of playing in the trees. Sorry no pics. I had a new HD cam in my pack too? Hangover + low snow = dazed and confused.

Ok, I'll give you 4 hours if you included load and unload time in the snopark... You are just cranky cuz the clutch went poopoo!!;)

A down sled = we had to LEAVE!!!!:(

Oh yeah, remind me to shove my half emtpy glass up your azz later!!!:D

An engineer just sees the glass being larger than it needs to be for the amount of liquid that's in it.
