A few months back I started reading this forum and watching snowbike videos. Now I have a bike in my garage and a ST timbersled kit on order! I ride sled 4/5 weeks a year in mountains, rode bikes 35 years ago. Based on info here and talking to a member I went with e/s with kick, f/i, headlight, adequate stator for heated grips, and good power. I purchased a like new 2010 husqvarna TE 510.
I would appreciate advice on operation and setup.
Anyone know if this bike has a thermostat? It has what I believe is a water pump casting on the left side of the head, otherwise no obvious thermo.
The intake/filter is under the seat just in front of the rear fender. The seat and side panels make up a bit of an air box. Is that a snow plugging setup?
Best heated grip setup, necessary mods, hand gaurds, etc...
