Another Clutch Question M7

I just installed a 10.4 secondary on my '05 m7 and i cannot get it aligned properly with the primary and runs like poo. Sheaves are getting really hot and feels like its reving high but not really grabbing. I have 0 shims on the secondary and seems like it needs to move farther in or the primary out. I am using a 1.507 alignment bar. Also the primary is off an '03 f7 non set screw type and is not the right one. Would finding a newer set screw type give me better luck? If so what part number am i looking for? Is it a 0746-435 8.25" 35mm?

046. Brand new. I also think that the belt to sheave clearance is more then .020. And the belt deflection probably wasnt adjusted correctly. Id like the bdx adjuster to make it easier. im more concerned about the alignment first, then ill correct the others.

The clutch taper on these is 33mm and is the same as an M8 if you are looking. The 1000 motors used the 35mm. Not sure where you are sitting with the older F7 primary. I put a M8 primary (pre-HO motor) on my M7 with the 10.4 sheaves and the alignment bar specified for a 10-11 M8 seems to line things up better for me. The bar specified up to 09 was trying to pull a cord on a new belt with 15 easy miles on it.
