Just heard Valley Marine in Yakima is no longer going to carry Arctic Cat. :/

All Arctic Cat vehicles will be gone.
Yamaha, Polaris, and Skidoo snowmobiles already have a home in Yakima.
I think Wenatchee is the closest dealer to Yakima. Unless tricities has a dealer?

Dan said it himself.
He came to our snowmobile club meeting and told us.
They will still work on sleds and carry some parts.
He said if Cat makes some changes he might deal with them again but, not till changes are made.

He invited people to come down and talk and ask questions.

I read a lot about people driving long distance to their dealer or riding a non preferred brand because thats what is available.
i never thought it would happen to me. I've always had all 3 brands within a few miles of each other. It is a 30min round trip to any dealer right now.

Any Idea what changes? Dealer/Manufacturer relations or sub-par equipment in relation to other brands? Valley MARINE, that makes for a slow winter. Maybe get into the snow blower business. As far as working on sleds, it will be older ones, warranty work can only be done by a dealer.
Owens sells Catahama sleds, that's close. I heard the Yamaha is the better buy anyways, with the four strokes that is.

What Cat is requiring them to do as a dealer is ridiculous. He's got 30-50 brand new 2015's in stock. How the hell do they expect a small town dealer to sell that many brand new machines?

But yeah, Wenatchee is now the closest, which sucks.

This is Cats MO. Has been for years. I know the owner of the Cat dealer in Eagle, CO pretty well and not only is he pretty close to Alpine/Vohk who is stiff competition for him, Cat would jam more sleds down his throat than he could sell. Put the dlr in Basalt out of business.
His way to make it work was/is hi volume no profit on new sales. He sells all his machines at cost ( or says he does anyway). Says his only money made is on parts and service so rather than fight the system, he just tries to dump as many machines as possible and hope with that number of machines coming from his shop that he gets all the parts and repair work. Even still, selling a lot of machines, he always has a pile of hold overs to fire sale the next fall.
IMO individual dealers will know better how many machines they can sell in their town, not some guy in an office in MN!

not to mention the 2014 AND 2013 hold overs he still has!

no way!! I get most of my parts there! Guess I should have made it over that way before they got rid of everything!!!

Cat Dealers

I know we have High Desert Marine in Hermiston Ore. that still sells cats, here in Eastern wash.I've been buying all my stuff off the internet since they closed our cat dealer here in the Tri Cities

And to give a follow up to this... Bob Feils, in East Wenatchee no longer carries Arctic Cat. Nearest one to use is either Omak Marine in Omak or Adventure Motorsports in Monroe. Both dealers are some 2.5 hours from Wenatchee.

Cat is just cutting their own throats. They treat dealers so badly, way over sell them and basically load them up with a poor inventory fit until they either say enough or go out of business. I've owned 4 dif brands in the last few years and I wouldn't buy one I couldn't get good service on. I'm using Xtreme in Preston for my Cat stuff and they are doing a great job but this might be my last Cat, I used Mt Baker Motorsports for a couple years and Woody really took great care of me but it's a 6 hour plus round trip.
