W H Y? Because heli skiers break the most fundamental rule of mountain travel every run-they ski ALL TOGETHER. They do this because it would take them way too long if they skied one at a time and they wouldnt make any money. Pretty foolish if you ask me, I think they better work on their business model. You have to go thru a ton of training to be a ski guide in Canada, and then when you get a job heli guiding they make you forget everything you learned and ski all together with your clients. The guides are pretty good, if they werent, this would happen much more often, but when you risk multiples, you are eventually going to have multiples, which reduce the effectiveness of rescue exponentially.
