Anodized Spindles

Someone asked a little while ago about anodizing the stock spindles, here are some pics of a type II (hard coat anodizing).

I called the shop that did the anno. they used a process known as AMS 2469, I looked it up and it's actually a type III.

I've had this same place do some suspension pieces for an engineering project I was working on, they did this same anno with a ptfe coating. The finished product held surprisingly well.

Duc,

Thank you for that.

That sounds like just what I need to find a shop for!!

Were they reasonable in the pricing? Turnaround time? Small orders?

Can you share their contact info?

.

Anodizing and metal coatings in SLC utah, they will do any batch size but they have a min order of $30.

I did the rear bumper stays, holtz rear bumper, holtz tie rods, rails, rail braces, bogie wheel mounts, bar mounts, rear wheel spacer, spindles and front shock spacers for $130.

And that included blasting a lot of the parts to a consistent finish after I cleaned up some of the casting mold marks.

right place

These are the same guys that do all of kelsey's stuff over at RKT.

Let me know if you need a middle man to get it to and from, I work just down the road from these guys.

sled looks great. duc, do you find the rails shed snow any better?

This sled still hasn't hit the snow yet, however the last sled I did it to never would collect any build up.

ive acctually had that first pic as my computer background a couple times. I have it saved in my pics file. Very clean looking, love the color combo, Just needs some black 2013 boards haha
