Annoying weather forecasters. Yours also?

So here at the home of A/C and Polaris, we are expecting our significant snow fall. Wahoo right!?! Well to dampen the spirits of all snow lovers, our local news casters (I happen to watch KARE 11) insist on the same old b.s. In other words according to them, they assume ALL people hate snow and winter. They treat winter like a mother in laws kiss. Look, it comes and goes every year. Deal with it and enjoy it like we all do. Anyway, stepping off the soap box. I am curious, does your local news complain ALL winter as well? It just gets on my nerves.

Ha . ..that's exactly what I think every time I hear them hating on snow and I get so tired of it. . like there wasn't actually anyone in the whole world who could have the faintest possibility of liking winter. . .wonder what kinda responses they'd get if they had a weatherman who actually liked winter and woohoo'd everytime he forecast a winter storm advisory. ..??. ..that'd be some funny stuff to hear the calls responding to that. . .

They don't really say much about it here. Ski resort is 25min away though so most people here enjoy winter.

The people at my work on he other hand? most are california transplants and i have to listen to them bitch in the coffee break room. Why did you move here we get 3 months of summer..it snows in June half the time!

Annoying to say the least here in Wa state. When it starts to dip to the 30's here you would think we are headed for a nuclear fall out. If snow is in the forecast or it actually happens, it becomes an all out effort to hopefully survive.

I am lucky enough to have a local weather man Karl Bohnak from WLUC TV6 in the UP of Michigan, who seems to really enjoy snow and storms in general.

Ha! That dude on KARE 11 is a d-bag. I like John Dee's web site since he is a snow fiend. He does tend to blow things out of proportion a bit though.

same thing here in the land of cheese... though our weather man usually isn't the one complaining, it's usually the lead anchor of the news station that makes some ridiculous comment about the snow. I mean come on people you live in the snow belt. It happens every year about this time, get over it. They whine and complain like small children.

On top of that I have to hear the local radio dj's read the weather forecast and also bitch and moan. These people need to move to florida or something, sheesh!

That's the thing that kills me. You live in a area that get's cold and it snows, it's not like you shouldn't expect it like if you lived in Florida or something. Why do you live here and complain?? Life is to short, if you don't like it, move to some place else.
