That's what I was thinking also, but after reading the article, I think WA is reference to "Western Australia". Never seen waves like that in Puget Sound. ;)

thats like having an avalanche chase you down the hill, no thanks, is it pretty much injury or death if they wipe out in those things?
 
yeah its australia.....but i'm sure there are spots breaking big of the wet coast.

if i recall correctly the biggest wave ridden to date is estimated to be 70-80 feet.....in the face of the wave.

If you want to watch a sweet flick that isn't sledding, Riding Giants or All Aboard the Crazy Train are good big wave ones.
 
Thanks I lived in Maui back in the 70, wow I'm old and yes Laird is the truth. You cannot compare that to sledding,2 diffwerent Animals. Big surf is ***ging the rush Pure. Cheers Red Dog:D:D:D
