I have never believed that there is a secret United Nations plot to take over the US. I have never seen black helicopters hovering in the sky above Montana. But, for the first time in my life, I think the formation of some sort of world government is plausible.

A “world government” would involve much more than co-operation between nations. It would be an entity with state-like characteristics, backed by a body of laws. The European Union has already set up a continental government for 27 countries, which could be a model. The EU has a supreme court, a currency, thousands of pages of law, a large civil service and the ability to deploy military force.

So could the European model go global? There are three reasons for thinking that it might.

First, it is increasingly clear that the most difficult issues facing national governments are international in nature: there is global warming, a global financial crisis and a “global war on terror”.

Are you disputing that these issues need to be addressed or are you questioning the logistics of the intervention?

actually found it interesting how ...say normal sheeple ... er um People might be waking up .yawn:light:

Some countries have wealth. Most of the world has none, and they want "their fair share". So, any organization that gives voice to the have-not's, will undoubtedly result in the have-not's working the system to get power and money from the have's. They are slowly learning to play against the have's guilt. You can't blame them, we're letting them do it too us.

Most of us on here would be against a one world government, but we would probably be for the US and Canada joining, or at least parts of each. I don't think it's too far fetched to see a day when there might be a African Union, South American Union, China, and North American Union. The problem is that our constitution will be decimated in the process, and we will treaty away our rights.

yeah well Obama yer Mama is well on his way ......one hand has the constitution and the other is pushing the plug into the wall for the shredder ...
