an idea to track stolen snowmobiles

K

knee deep in it

Well-known member
and yet another thread about a stolen rig and sled. There are way too many of these. I want to keep an eye out for his sled and trailer but I can't remeber them all. I am going to start a list of stolen sleds along with a major visual indicator.

My hope is that everyone who has had a stolen sled will post on this thread. From the posts, I will create a word document and keep it updated. What I would like to see is everyone grab a copy of that document and keep it in their truck or trailer. If you are at a staging area and see something that you think may be stolen, you will have the make, model, serial number, and visual clue.

If one guy gets his sled back, than this thread is worth the effort.

I will start

2003 1/2 Skidoo Summit Rev stolen in calgary march 07, orange / black, 133 track, silver trimmed vent near left knee part of cowling sn to follow

the link to access the list is:

click on the link and choose option 2 which is to download their basic service. It is free.

i hope my stuff don't get stolen!

I've been thinking the same thing. We need a good list of stolen property because there are so many, that I can't remember any of them. I know that everyone on snowest would be happy to see even one person get their stuff back.

I was thinking of a no discussion thread, just to list your property, description, and location. That would get right to the point, and get the info out there.

then we could have a spotted/recovered property thread where discussion can be relevant.

It's just a thought. Just trying to help...

the coolest idea is to ....have your name and number painted on the roof ........nobody ever climbs up on a roof to see if the owner has contact info on it ....hmmmmm?????

leave a cell phone in it somwhere and use google track sytem to find it
