Speed climbing is cool but most of what they climb is much simpler then the stuff you see these young bloods doing. The inverted climbing, clinging upside down on a rock is just insane. here are a few short but incredibly technical climbs.

Dan died in a rope jump in yosemite. That stuff is also incrediblly crazy. Free fall
until a rope catches you, ah no thanks!

I think his record is near 1000ft free fall.
