amsoil interceptor or hp injector

im stuck between what oil i should be using, i just bought a 2005 M7 and am wondering if i should be using arctic cat brand oil or amsoil in the injector system. i bought a bottle of amsoils interceptor because it said its safe for use in injection systems and it promotes cleaner powervalves. just looking for anyones opinion thanks.

i like amsoil.... I use dominator in my stuff. but interceptor is great and Hypothetically close to the perf. of Dominator but w/ more protection

I ran amsoil HP in my 09 m1000 for 1200 miles last year. I cleaned the valves for this year but they weren,t bad. Curious as to which one A motor can live longer on, HP or Intercepter.

I have run the amsoil interceptor from day one and never looked back.. Dominator oil is very good to but you power valves might be a little more dirty.

If the sled is stock or close to it with no major engine modifications use Interceptor. If however there is major work done to the engine the Dominator is the way to go. The only time I would recommend using the HP Injector Oil over the Interceptor in a snowmobile is if it is a non power-valved engine.

i sell amsoil. and i agree with the posts here. if you were running a non powervalve engine, i would go with the hp injector. interceptor is the best all around and is great to use with power valved engines. dominator is for "race applications". however, when you are out west in 3 foot of pow, aren't you running WOT most of the time? i ordered 2 cases of dominator last spring and brought it with on our trip to cooke. still have a case left. i would have to run it for an extended period of time before i could really tell you if the power valves become more dirty because of it.

my vote for your current machine is interceptor. at least until you mod it:D

Interceptor. I run it in my M1000 and it has a high compression head, cold-air intake, and a pipe. I've ran the interceptor for two seasons (approx. 1600 miles) with no problems.

I also ran interceptor in my M7 which had the SLP Performance Package installed. That sled had about 3000 miles on it when I sold it to a local guy, he uses interceptor and probably put another 500-700 miles on it last season.

Dominator for me. Don't let the word "race" fool you. It is a better oil for mountain riding where the engine is at max rpm and is building max exhaust temp during long climbs and boondocking. Just my $0.02.

Interesting, My sled sits at 10,000' when it's in the driveway, and is run regularly between 8000' and 11,000'. I was going to go Interceptor but now I will have to re-think my choice.

Man, I wish people would put their location on their profile so you would know what part of the country they are riding. rant.

I am also an Amsoil dealer and have used their products for over 25 years in all my vehicles. The HP injector is the "older" oil more for the non-power valved engines. The HP will lube you good but will gum up the valves quicker.
Interceptor came out a few years ago formulated for the power valves. I'd say Dominater is more for modded sleds.

I have a 2005 M7 with 5500+ miles on it. Ran a jug of Cat oil for breakin and Amsoil Interceptor ever since with no problems. Run at 40:1 ratio. I got a 2009 M8 last year (wife got the M7) and use the Interceptor in it. Both are stock. We do mostly boondocking and ride trails just to get to the next spot.
I usually have my dealer clean the valves after a season 1000 miles or so. He tells me the valves are really dirty but may just be trying to get me to use Cat oil. This year I am going to clean the valves after about 500 miles and see what happens.
Go for the Interceptor and have fun....
