AMP electric boards

Hey guys, considering some AMP boards on my 13 Denali HD. I know someone that has them on a super duty and loves them but I guess from time to time they quit working and you have to clean the connections to get them working again. Anybody else running them? They look good on the GM diesel pickups I think and they cover the urine tank pretty well. Anyway who's running them or what have you guys been hearing?

Make sure you order the correct part number for your diesel. The original 2011-2013 part number fits the gas engine trucks well. AMP came out with a different bracket system for the diesel that fits further out and at an angle to clear the urea tank this year. I'm considering them for my 2012 Sierra HD, but would really like to hear how they hold up after 5 or 6 winters. I like how they go out and down further than a tube type, making them much more usable for entry and exit (prevents sliding on the edges of the seat).

Friend of mine has them on an F-150 work good but have had them stuck in the down position due to snow and ice build up.

I had them installed on my 12' duramax and they work awesome. Yesterday we drove through a good snow storm in Park city they had some ice and snow build up I opened the door the next morning they folded out but wouldnt go back up they were stuck because of the ice. All I did was kick the ice away and they went back up no biggie. Boards are well worth the money.

have them on my 2010 dodge. these were installed by the dealer. they didnt have the lights installed when i got the truck. i called amp to order a light kit while doing this the fella at amp sent an upgraded hinge kit and the light kit under warranty. pretty good service there! never had a single problem with them freezing or not working. spray some silicone lube on the pivot points 2 to 3 times a year. i wont own a truck without these steps now.

had to uninstall mine and reinstall to put on new brkts they gave me under warrantie. super easy wouldnt hesitate to do it myself.

Electricstep.com was about $990 for mine + shipping. Installed myself and not bad at all. Took two or three hours maybe

I was at the GMC dealership tonight and bumped into a buddy of mine that just bought a 13 Escalade. Electric boards came factory with it. Didn't realize they were becoming an OEM item.

Ya my dads 08 Yukon Denali has them from the factory. GM asks a lot more for a set of boards like that if you want to add them. When I bought my truck they told me $1900

Went ahead and did the AMP boards. So far love them. The one neg is they have to position the passenger side board slightly out and away to clear the DEF tank. It doesn't look terrible just not as clean as the drivers side.
