Amber Holt ( Mini ) Flat out rocks

Im begining to think its all a fairy tale....
This infamous Mini so many talk about...hmm...supposably roams the mountains of N Idaho but only a select few have ever seen her...I woman on a M1000 the eats the lunches of every one she meets up with.
I thought I saw her on the hill last season but have since deduced that it was all a figment on my imajnation....
I was hopeing that these pics may have had a Mini in them but who would know if it was realy her anyway...
Alas like big foot maybe one day I will bump into her on the mountain and her mighty 1000 will get a taste of the Dragon.....
But only time will tell...

To bad you had to leave early...you missed my 'big bone head' manuvor & almost lost my sled off the hill following Budd up a tight line!! Skadi has pics!...LOL....(we need to convert that girl to the COUGAR SIDE!!!!..I think we have a sleeping Panther there!)

XXX-Apex....YEH! Right Now up here the conditions are perfect, no slides as of yet...but trust me...we have about a 2 week window & this area will start to go! Red Dog took this pic of Rabbit from inside the chute...so the top of the neck is not shown, but she was plenty steep & tight. I'll try to take a few more of this area next time we go over there for ya...it's really incredable country.
To be honost I just started stepping it up to the really "Big Stuff" this season. I have been really wanting to get to this next level for my own satisfaction. I had NO IDEA how AMAZING & INCREDABLY ADDICTING CHUTE CLIMBING IS!!! It's like a switched turned on or something. It all started 2.5 seasons ago when the Troy Boyz (Hardass, Poobrew,& JOP) coached & encouraged me to follow them up the "Big Chute" in Troy...THERE IS NO OTHER HIGH THAT COMPARES FROM THAT MOMENT ON!!!! NOTHING MAKES MY HEART FEEL ALIVE LIKE THIS (flying, structural firefighting, climbing, white water Kayaking, making a big drop or clearing a gap jump snowboarding...nothing at all compares)!!! Thanks to the help of alot of people & my husband, I finally have the right set up & it helps huge with confidence when you know your sled can get it done!!! (I don't know if it's the same for you guys, but for me I have to KNOW the sled can handle the pull, then all I have left in the equation is my own fear)....I am hoping that when we can afford my Turbo for my M8 I will be ready for it, & not just a be a Chic w/ a big mod sled resulting in complete foolishness w/ to much sled & risking hurting myself or totaling the sled. I want to be able to use it to it's full capacity & be ready for that step up when it comes. Right now the M1000 is working for me just fine. But I had it wide open & I did have to actually poach Red Dogs & My Husbands tracks to clear over the top. I am learning real quick why you do not enter a chute from the center (snow is deep & track speed is better if you enter w/ a side hill) ...LOL.....
I can't explain it but, it is the MOST AMAZING thing I have experienced in sledding, or any other extreme sport, so far....& I feel as though I am being drawn into this STELLER ETERNAL HIGH!!!!It keeps me AMPED UP from the time I leave the snow until I am back on it again (I have a really hard time focusing on everyday life lately it's so ADDICTING). When I started riding 5 Seasons ago I remember watching my husband pull a steep short hill in AK over by Turnigan....& saying, "Your CRAZY!!! I'll stick to the flats!".....Now, I find myself looking at everything wondering "Can it be done? Can I do it?"
So YEH!!! Mrs Hobb's-Z!!! Do it for yourself, a little bit at a time, (don't try to keep up with others) just push yourself a little everytime you go out, until that little roller coaster starts in your stomach each time. Learn your technical skills SOLID...before you try big stuff (to aviod bad experiences) Before you know it, you will be experiencing THE AMAZING HIGH!!!! Adrenilin is a DRUG!!! & LEGAL!!

WELL FINALLY HAD A NICE DAY TO GET BACK UP THERE & TAKE A PIC! HOWEVER, CONDITIONS WERE NOT GOOD TO TAKE ANOTHER PULL THIS SUNDAY AT IT (it is the 1st chute on left side of the pic)....SINCE I CLIMBED IT IN FEB, IT HAS SNOWED PROBABLY ABOUT 10 MORE FEET & WAS STARTING TO SLIDE IN THE MORNING WHEN I TOOK THE PIC. IN FACT WHEN WE CAME BACK THROUGH LATER IN THE DAY THE BOTTOM PORTION HAD SLID, HERE ARE A QUAPLE MORE PICS FROM THE DAY ALSO!!! ENJOY! I HAVE MY EYE ON A QUAPLE MORE SOON AS IT BECOMES A LITTLE MORE STABLE, HOPEFULLY I WILL GET SOME ACTION SHOTS NEXT TIME TO SHARE!!! WHOOOHOOOOOO!
