AMBER Alert issued for missing Boise boy

BOISE -- An Amber Alert has been issued for an 7-year-old boy Boise, Idaho boy who may have been a victim of a parental kidnaping.

Police say 7-year-old Luca Principali was taken from an apartment Wednesday afternoon.

The boy's sister answered the door at about 3:45 p.m. when she noticed a man knocking. The man told the girl that he wanted to see Luca because his mother wanted to see him. The boy's sister said she heard a scream before Luca and the man disappeared.

Police say Luca is a white male, about four feet tall, weighing 60 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. They say Luca has a shoulder length bowl style hair cut. He was last seen wearing a black Star Wars t-shirt with a picture of Darth Vadar and the Emperor on it, camouflage knee length shorts and no shoes.

Police say Luca does go by the nickname of Goober.

Officers believe Luca may be with an unknown white male about 45-years-old, 5'11" tall, weighing about 190 pounds with brown hair. Police say the man had a full beard with short, thinning hair. The man was reportedly wearing red, white, purple and green horizontal-striped short sleeve t-shirt with blue jeans.

If you see either Luca or the suspect you are asked to call 911 immediately. You can also call the Boise Police Department at (208)570-6457.

Weird MPS. This kid kidnapping thing is out of control. I have mixed emotions when it's a parental kidnapping.

But, if this is a "parental" kidnapping, Luca's sister didn't seem (from the context) to recognize the man and Luca screamed? Unless the dad's been out of the picture from the beginning?

Doesn't matter, the kids probably freaked out and I'm sure his mom and sister are too. Doesn't sound like a situation of a dad who was close to his son and took him. Sounds creepy.

So no description of a vehicle - bummer.

Parental kidnapping from the mother who lives in Scottsdale Az. The abductor was a stranger that was working with the mom, that's how he knew the names. There was a hearing in court over domestic issues between the two parents yesterday and this is a result. More imformation is coming out.

Ahhhhh, that makes more sense. I couldn't handle having my dogs taken away from me, much less kids. What a mess.

A friend of mine is a great mom and lost custody of her son because her ex BS'd and ramrodded his way through the system. I'm hoping that's the exception rather than the rule. On the other side some kids who are being blatantly abused and neglected stay with the abusers.

I hated doing reports for Sexual Assaults at the hospital where you'd KNOW beyond the shadow of a doubt that a 2 year old was being violated by the father, but because there was no definitive physical evidence the child had to continue living with the abuser. Made me wanna hurt someone.

You know the funny thing...I worked in a joint intelligence center and we had a couple news stations always playing because we often got "open source intel" from them. lol...the best part is when you see people put that info into a report and then its suddenly classified.
