Amazon Crap

For $hits and giggles I ordered a set of goggles from Amazon to try for spares. Wasn't expecting anything great but actual product was far worse than imagine - pure absolute garbage!!! Real disservice to off brand vendors for sure.
Yes I know 509 / Klim / Smith / etc. make great stuff but they also charge a premium for the name too so expectations for their products are much higher but sometimes the price differential is hard to justify ....

Smith is made in Utah. I ordered 2 pairs from Amazon for $50/each. They definitely make more expensive models, but I require OTG and these work good enough for me.

Never said it was Amazon's fault - it's just an outlet of marketplace in many cases ... but ....
with traditional retailers there is typically a purchasing dept to ensure that the product is as advertised. If product is not up to snuff it is not carried....

Amazon seemingly lacks this checkpoint - it makes the transaction easy but reality is that there is more to it.

Have purchased a few items and in most instances products were adequately defined but not in this instance. Big issues as well with items not meeting safety certifications .... definitely case for "caveat emptor". I bought a knock off wabasto diesel heater for the sled trailer but wouldn't risk it for an accommodations space because of lack of oversight.

I don’t think it’s fair at all to be disappointed in Amazon. You purchased a no-name product at a no-name price, and I’m guessing the description was written in plain Chinglish. I think it would have been prudent to do a little research about the product you were buying to avoid being disappointed. I think your expectations were still too high.

if you want a cheap pair of goggles that work pretty good i have used them alot in the past ,they are Stage goggles ,give them a try

^I'll second stage goggles. I've got 2 sets of frames and a bunch of lenses and they have been great for me.

As many know I live in the city. AMAZON IS PURE HELL. Family worked at nearby shipping hub and people would get hurt and if you went over to help you would get in trouble. had friends tear out tendons moving 1000, yes thousands of boxes an hour. There are horror stories in the local papers about how so many are hurt moving over 6000 boxes in an 6 hour shift. Ex employees litigate for YEARS just to get surgery to be fixed. Amazon drivers are rude and down right dangerous ... thats compared to Los Angeles standards which are IMHO pretty aggressive I drive by the hub in the early am to work and have yet to see a time where there in not an accident within a block of the hub. granted over 500 delivery trucks operate there. Amazon has a contracted street sweeper (i know the guy) to clean up all the road kill/debris so many times a day.
