Amazing Volcano Photo from Space

shows the shockwave and disturbances in the upper atmosphere.

090622-matua-volcano-02.jpg

Sarychev Peak on Matua Island is one of the most active volcanoes in the Kuril Island chain, northeast of Japan. Astronauts took this photo of an eruption on June 12. The plume appears to be a combination of brown ash and white steam. The vigorously rising plume gives the steam a bubble-like appearance; the surrounding atmosphere has been shoved up by the shock wave of the eruption. Credit: NASA/ISS/Earth Observatory

Nice. Don't mess with Mother Nature!

What do you mean WE are going to stop global Warming! Havent you heard we can control the entire planet! I'm Surprised the sierra club didn't stop that eruption or at least make that volcano a wilderness area ;)

I have always said, nothing can happen in this world that Ma nature can't fix.
I know we don't like to think so but we are really pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things.
