I have been doing some searching here for lodging around/above Dubois and all I am finding is places for $60 - $70 per person per night. What am I missing here?

we just got rooms at the super 8 in dubois yesterday and the cost was 65 bucks per night total

We always just stay in Dubois. Its alot cheaper but more of a pain. It has just a FEW more options for eating out and night life.

We always got the bunk house at the Lineshack. Sleeps 9 people for around 35-40 night per person.

There are a couple of places in dubois that you can check out and they are cheaper than togwotee. Togwotee might be 76.00 in the first part of December but after that they just keep getting higher.

IMO Tog area is very expensive. After two trips there last year that cost us each around $300 per day, we set up our trailer to sleep in. Now our trips usually cost around $50 per day/person. We've done several trips to the Snowies for 3 days for under $150 per person! It's amazing how much we used to spend on lodging. Also, when you stay at a lodge, you tend to drink at the lodge... there goes another $100-$200 for some people. In Togwotee Lodges defense, the lodge rooms for $69-$89 per nite are reasonable and worth it. The cabins at $200 per night are ridiculous especially when the heater doesn't work! GRRRRR Still upset over that deal. Sorry!

Anyways, I love the area, just have to get used to the prices or be creative. :D

When we were going to the Lineshack our trip was costing us around 800-1000 depending on what you ate and how much you drank...for a week! That includes gas to and from Minnesota. Thats under $150 day. It could be cheaper if you live closer.

Parking areas?

For those who stay in Dubois, how far do you trailer? We used to stay on the trail system so we never paid much attention to where the parking lots are.

from the super 8 its about a half hour drive to the pass, there is a parking spot right at the pass then theres a few more further up. there is also one at the brooks lake turn off.

I spoke for a house with Pinnacle Properties. Right on the Highway, $220 per night sleeps up to 10... They claim to be on the trail??? I thought it was a good deal.... But not sure if we will like riding out of there???? Sounds like it is half way between Dubois and Tog... Does anybody know anything about this???? I know they also have two bed apt's for rent

Try the Stagecoach in Dubois - http://www.stagecoachmotel-dubois.com/
Clean rooms, friendly service, the least expensive rooms in Dubois with plenty of parking. There is a fantastic pizza place right across the street, and the famous Cowboy Cafe is right next door - great place for breakfast in the morning.

ya the super 8 is good place to stay. There super bowl weekend every year we usually put three to a room their rates are the same year around about 55 with tax. Here is the # 1800-800-8000
