aluminum rivets!

Had my dealer attach my xp skidplate while once again in the shop. They used aluminum rivets! Anybody seen a yellow skidplate round the countryside? Maby Ill use bolts myself when I find a red plate!

was this on new 08 cause buddies did same thing he lucked out and heard it rub the track just one rivet on corner left holding on you should maybe rehead this post with a mention of skid plate so as others see!

I'd be back at the dealer having them give me a new one.

We had this happen to a couple Summit XPs last week in Colorado.
We caught them before they came all the way off.
The front 4 rivets pull out 1st, they only go through the plastic belly pan.
The back rivets go into aluminum, but they had started to get loose
from the skidplate flapping.
When I put mine back on I plan to use bolts and washers on both sides of the plastic for the front 4 holes.

Don't the skid plates come with the install hardware? That would mean that BRP is sending the rivets.

Mine came off and went to the dealer. Gave me big headed steel rivets and some washers to use.. Took the foam out under the pipe and put the washers on the front 4 rivets thru the plastic.. not going anywhere now..
