Alternative to rachet straps gas can

What how.does that mountain addiction work for those who tend to be trackside up often? Are the rails screwed once a can pops off a couple times?

only had one fly off once after it rolled down the hill 30 times and all we did was push them back on and put the pin back in and that set is 6 years old

I take a different approach. I use a 1" strap with a buckle to make an adjustable continuous loop. One on each side of the jug. I make them extra long so that they are doubled up when cinching down a jug which takes the load off the buckle, but also makes them extra long if you need to haul something else.

Volcano, that is what I had in mind. Very simple and affordable. No rusty, failing ratchet straps!

Am I the only one that fills zip lock bags with gas and duct tapes them to the insides of my thighs?

Sheesh! I thought everyone did that!

Couple heavy duty bungy cords hold down the gas tank to the VMI easily... Money saved, no need for different systems...

ive had em all, the quick release one is cheesy in regard to the tie down straps, they break and the can to mount is a bit wobbly

the mtn ad is the tits, love the 3.5 gallon can and its bomb proof, i actually stand on it sometimes on a steep climb just so my BROs know they ride with a certifiable BAAWWSSSS!!!!!
