Alpha available for all!

You are correct, no shocks included but it should just be the front track shock that will not work. So an extra $622, putting it at $3300 for everything.

SweeT! I may of read right/wrong that It doesn't include shocks, does that mean the stock ones for everybody with the twin rails fits these alpha rails?

No. Per the description you may have read wrong, "This kit converts conventional skid frame models to the Alpha One skid frame
Does NOT include shocks, you will need to re-use your existing shocks or purchase new
2018-2019 Mountain Cat and Hardcore style QS3 front arm shock cannot be used with Alpha One skid, the reservoir will interfere with suspension travel, you will need to purchase a new shock."

Based on that description I would say if you have monotube snopro or SE shocks it would not require any new front arm shocks. Curious if Evol Chambers on 2017 MC and limited sleds and 2016 limited will clear.

Or just do an elevate kit. I just installed mine, but from people I have talked to, they like the twin rail elevate kit better than the single rail alpha. Just as easy to sidehill but more predictable. So maybe an alpha with an elevate kit would be even that much better, we will soon find out

My elevate kit from IceAge should be here mid December for my low mileage '17 Mountain Cat 153. I'm excited for the upgrade, especially given the positive reviews for the twin-rails.

why would you offer a "KIT", and then still have to buy extra stuff to make it work. buy an alpha outright, buy the elavate kit (not offered in 141 :( ), or keep the sled the way it is. my .02 Ski

Because you may have already spent a lot of money and time customizing your current sled, and changing the skid out is cheaper than selling, buying an Alpha, and then adding your customizations again. And you can always sell the parts you take off to recoup some of the cost. Always people looking for rails, shocks, Powerclaw track etc.

The 18-19 twin rail sleds rip as is. If I had one I’d run it as is, maybe add the elevate kit if I got a chance to run it first and it actually improved the sled.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on an Alpha kit. My buddy has a 6000 Alpha and the thing is so much fun to ride I just couldn't help myself;)

Since my sled is a 18 Mountain Cat, I sent the front skid shock off to the shock guy I use and he's going to change out the upper head so that I can reuse my original QS3 shock. Pretty sure it will work, but I won't know for sure until I get everything back and bolted up.

Kit looks great, how did your front shock work out? Where able to change the head or did you have to buy a new shock?

I ended up buying a new shock. The shock guy I use called Fox and the correct mounting head is available, however it's on back order until April from Fox.
