Allison tranny fluid

What is the best fluid to run in Allison I recently purchased and new deep pan and wana put the best in it.

What he said^

When I did a fluid change I got it form an Allison truck shop. At that time, they said that any new med and heavy duty trucks that got swapped out for Transynd when new, Alli would double the mfg warranty on the trans (or add 100k mi to the warranty or something like that).
You'll have to pump out the old fluid though, to get the tq converter empty too.
Replace your pan and the internal filter (screen) while you're in there.
Refill with new fluid.
Disconnect the cooler line and briefly start the engine (helps to have 2 people for this). Pump out a set vol few qts, then shut off and fill back up.
Repeat a couple times til you have new fluid coming out..done.
It pumps out fast, hence 2 people and you only run the engine for acouple sec each time.

Torqshift from Amsoil is a great and Allison spec oil. I found locally it was almost as cheap to have the local Allison shop service the transmission. I think there was about $70 difference in having them do it and buying the fluid and doing it yourself. Not sure it's worth saving $70 to have to dispose of all the old fluid, deal with the mess, etc.

I run mobil synthetic... I ran this with Twin turbos, Efi Live, and a stock transmission never limped, even towed 12K+ with this setup. When I put the built trans. in I put Mobil Syn. back in, no issues yet.

lots of discussion on transynd slipping more in high horse power applications... Not sure if there is any merit to it But the Mobil has never done me wrong. it was also recommended by one of the best allison builders in the country Mike Lovrich of Inglewood Transmission.

Mile high, Im still waiting for that race with your Vette and four place enclosed trailer through the mountains... lol

Are you getting me confused? No idea what you're talking about and I unfortunately don't have a Vette.

Transynd for stock internals in the allison.

AmsOil ATF in the NAPC built transmissions(i have a NADP Race Transmission, made by NAPC, in my 2006 duramax with the 6 speed, and NAPC recommends the AmsOil ATF)
